Mark Brownlow – President
Mark Brownlow was a founding Partner and former Senior Financial Adviser with KnowledgebankIQ Investment and Financial Advisers.
He holds a Diploma in Technical Analysis from the Australian Technical Analysts Association (ATAA), is a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) with the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA) and holds an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services ADFS(FP). Mark is a member of the Australian Professional Technical Analysts (APTA) Incorporated and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA).
Mark is an industry practitioner with Kaplan Professional where he is a subject matter expert on the Kaplan Professional Advisory Committee for the Technical Analysis subjects of the Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance. These subjects are recognised by the ATAA and IFTA as providing formal qualifications in the discipline of Technical Analysis
Mark has been involved with providing professional education to technical analysts through Kaplan Professional Education (formerly FINSIA and SIA) since 2001 where he is involved in curriculum reviews, marking and setting of examination and assignment questions and is a current lecturer in Technical Analysis.
Mark also makes presentations at ATAA & APTA meetings around Australia where his current topics are inter-market analysis, sentiment indicators and tax structures for traders.
Larry Lovrencic – Vice President
Larry Lovrencic is a trader, a teacher, an author, an international speaker and has appeared several times on television as a guest on the Your Money, Your Call program on the Sky News Business Channel.
He is a founding member of the Australian Professional Technical Analysts (APTA) Incorporated and is a Life Member, a former member of the Board of Directors and a former National Vice President of the Australian Technical Analysts Association (ATAA). Larry is also an Affiliate Member of the Market Technicians Association (MTA), which is based in New York.
He has more than 20 years experience trading financial markets and more than 15 years experience in teaching Technical Analysis. Larry is a qualified educator, holding the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110.
He is a Director of and a Financial Markets Strategist for Delta Capital Markets, a private and actively managed investment fund.
Larry is also an Executive Director of First Pacific Securities which provides financial markets research and educational services to participants in the financial services industry. For a number of years, he was the editor of the Institutional FX and Institutional Equities publications.
Larry holds the Diploma in Technical Analysis awarded by the Australian Technical Analysts Association (ATAA) and has also been awarded the designation of Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) by the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA).
Larry is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), holds the Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, chairs the Advisory Committee for the Fin331 (formerly 9063 and E171) Specialised Techniques in Technical Analysis subject offered by Kaplan Higher Education (Australia), lectures for and chairs the Fin231 Technical Analysis subject offered by Kaplan and regularly presents Technical Analysis seminars to members of the financial services industry in South East Asia.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA) for 9 years, was the Chair of IFTA’s Accreditation Committee, Chair of IFTA’s Membership Committee and Vice-Chair of IFTA’s Education and Body of Knowledge Committees. Larry is also the co-author of IFTA’s Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) Level 1 examinations.
Larry is also the co-author of three books, FX Trading: A Guide to Trading Foreign Exchange, Charting for Dummies and FX Trading: An Australian Guide to Trading Foreign Exchange.
David is a former President and a foundation member of the Australian Professional Technical Analysts Incorporated.
He is the principal of ADEST, a firm which provides education services to participants in the financial services industry.
He was previously a proprietary trader for Macquarie Bank and Forex Treasury Manager for Qantas.
He has 25 years trading experience in forex, options, shares and CFDs.
David regularly appears on the Your Money, Your Call program on the Australian Sky News Business Channel on TV.
Ken Henderson is a foundation member of the Australian Technical Analysts (APTA) Incorporated and is a past National President of the Australian Technical Analysts Association.
He has a substantial history in the financial services industry, successfully managing portfolios in the superannuation sector.
Ken specialises in the analysis and trading of resource stocks.
Ken is also a co-author of the book Charting for Dummies.
John Gajewski – Treasurer
John has more than 20 years experience in Technical Analysis and the foreign exchange, fixed interest and commodity markets and is a foundation member of the Australian Professional Technical Analysts (APTA) Incorporated.
Working with the Commonwealth Bank over that time he produced the successful Chartpoints commentaries, providing analysis and recommendations on forex, bonds and commodities to the bank’s traders and sales staff, institutional, corporate and business clients.
In 2002 he was rated the best technical analyst on currencies in Sydney.
John has also been an active participant in Technical Analysis education, working with the Australian Technical Analysis Association, the Securities Institute of Australia (SIA) and FINSIA (now Kaplan Professional) in developing and running Technical Analysis courses.
John has 20 years experience in Technical Analysis and the foreign exchange, fixed interest and commodity markets.
Dr Kingsley Jones is Founding Partner/CIO for Jevons Global, a global investment firm.
He is Managing Director of Speculacrum Consultants Pty Ltd, a trading technology firm.
Kingsley is also a writer, conference speaker, media presenter and columnist on global investment themes.
He has been the Portfolio Manager for the Macquarie Global Thematic Fund; Global Head of Quantitative Trading Research and a member of the Australian Value team at AllianceBernstein LP; head of Quantitative Research at CFSB in Sydney; and a Quantitative Analyst at County Investment Management.
Kingsley holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Bristol (1990), and a BSc (Hons) from ANU (1984), a CFA and is an affiliate member of the MTA. He is a commentator on CNBC and developed the cost-basis theory of market sentiment.
